Supporting Working Donkeys
Equine Welfare in rural Zambia
We educate and support neighbouring communities in the kind and responsible ownership of working donkeys, assisting with safe and comfortable harness manufacture, diet and animal husbandry alongside Zambezi Animal Welfare Services (ZAWS) and Zambezi Working Donkey Project, working together to improve equine welfare in Zambia.
We are raising funds to support the working donkeys in the Simalaha Wildlife & Community Conservancy where we operate Zambian Horseback Safaris. In the long term, we hope to set up a centre for animal husbandry.
How to Get Involved!
Each harness costs approximately USD $100 to manufacture. Make a Donation with confidence, knowing 100% of all funds will go to equine welfare.
Send us your preloved YOGA mats!
The Yoga + Donkey connection - were you aware there was one? Probably not! We have found that yoga mats are an ideal material for harness manufacture. We will gratefully accept any old yoga mats that you wish to donate to us for this.
